I've been there for several days now, but I'm currently in Boston, MA. This is my final stop on my tour before I get to go home.

My cat wounds are mostly healed at this point, only have 6 holes still closing. I am so very glad to be off strong antibiotics (and therefore able to properly digest again).

Out of the 6 flights I've taken since my travel started, this is the first where 1) I arrived ontime and 2) my luggage arrived with me. I've seen an amazing number of people sleeping at almost every airport I've gone through, stormy days or not.

I'm in Las Vegas. Sadly my luggage doesn't seem to be. Even more suspicious, I checked in 2 hours early and had no connections. I've bought a Las Vegas Hilton T Shirt which is now the extent of my clean clothing. On the brighter side, we're in one of the renovated rooms in the Hilton which is pretty nice (like a large wide-screen LCD TV). Hard to believe Elvis used to have the permanent spot in the concert room that Barry Manilow now takes up.

I'm briefly home between flights. I started out my morning in Florida, went through Charlotte, NC and am now in Pittsburgh for 4 hours. I've switched suitcases and am ready to head to Las Vegas. Thanks for the support on my cat wounds. The massive antibiotics I'm on are draining me a bit, but the travel probably isn't helping. It looks like I'm down to only two of the punctures being a real risk, as my body is continuing to expel cat hair from them. So far something like 25 cat hairs have been removed from one of the holes (I still don't know how the cat got them between my skin and her teeth).

Back to the Pittsburgh airport!

Made it another 600 miles to Florida. My cat bites have not fared well, and a family doctor called in a prescription for massive doses of antibiotics to be waiting for me in Florida. This is my first visit to my parent's new house, so it's nice that I get to stay here 36 hours before traveling again.

Made it 600+ miles of driving to Richmond, VA, but not without incident. One of the cats I'm transporting figured out how to open the zipper on her carrier. I didn't think this was going to be a big deal, as the windows in the car were closed and I could just put her back in. Unfortunately she went bezerk on me and bit my right hand several times. I now have 12 punctures in my hand, some down to the bone, and didn't manage to stop bleeding for 8 hours. To add to the joy, the other cat decided that meowing continuously until 4 am in the hotel was fun.

I think I'm going to be using this blog thingie this week. Hopefully lighting doesn't strike me down... What's the occasion? A laughably crazy travel schedule. Started this morning in Pittsburgh and am now in Rye, NH staying with my father. Flying through Baltimore was a disaster, and only a series of marathon line waitings and in the end just pushing my way onto a flight (Southwest tracks standby on pieces of paper so it's not very hard to game) got me to Manchester, NH at all. Hertz has decided that my mid-sized rental equaled a Subaru Tribecca, so that's what I now drive 1,100 miles.

What am I doing? My parents moved from New Hampshire to Florida two weeks ago. Sadly their two cats decided to skip out right at the point of moving and disappeared. I've now flown up to NH for the purpose of delivering two cats to Florida.

Tomorrow's goal: Virginia.

Decided my comments in other people's journals looked weird as I'd never bothered to add a user photo. Plus I've confused a few people with the deathb thing.

May actually start putting photo stuff in here. Sigh. I don't want to be a blogger.
